French classes with a native speaker online or face-to-face
I am an experienced and qualified French teacher and have completed accreditation by the Alliance Française. My aim is to allow students of all ages to learn the language in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Whatever your reason, I offer a convivial and enjoyable atmosphere to learn French with emphasis on enabling students to feel comfortable using the language in practical situations.
Adult conversation classes
My classes are purely conversational and aim at developing oral fluency.
- Private classes
- Group classes (maximum 8 students)
The course is tailor-made and together with my students, we choose topics, activities and resources which, I feel, will motivate participants to converse.
Online Classes
In compliance with Government regulations, all my classes have moved online until further notice. It was a big adjustment for my students and myself but we have now found a dynamic way to continue the classes online with the same enthusiasm and dynamism as before. I am using the following platforms:
- Skype: for private classes
- Zoom: for group classes with part of the classes split into small groups to create a more intimate environment to allow students to gain in confidence.
Grinds
Class on a one-to-one basis to prepare for the Junior and Leaving Certificate.
- Oral: focus is mostly on the oral to provide students with phonetic tools and tips as well as common French expression. I work on developing my students confidence and fluency in order for them to approach the oral exams in the best manner possible.
- Reading comprehension: extensive work on past papers to gather as much vocabulary as possible as well as other topical documents. I will provide students with tips and tricks on how to best tackle the reading comprehension.
- Written production: I work with my students to create a list of common phrases that they could use in most written production. This will allow them to then work on specific topics with more flexibility.
- Listening comprehension: I would encourage students to practise listening comprehension at home. I will provide them with tactics on how to ameliorate their listening skills and work on the area they are struggling with.
